The Network of Community Media in Tanzania (TADIO) on November 26, 2019 convened its final board meeting for the year 2019.

During the session, board members received reports from the secretariat on the implementation of activities and financial reports for the year 2019.

Among issues discussed during the session was how TADIO could contribute towards the various UN international days as well as to enhance its partnership with various likeminded organizations.

UNESCO, through funding from the SDC, supports 25 community radios as well as the network of community media in Tanzania, the Tanzania Development Information Organization (TADIO).

The support is meant to ensure that people in Tanzania, especially the poor, women and girls, have the capacity to make informed decisions on issues that affect their daily lives based on access to relevant, culturally appropriate, gender responsive and accurate information and knowledge.
